The Heart of PBIS: Teaching Expectations and Acknowledgement Systems
Defining common behavior expectations, explicitly teaching them to all students, and acknowledging kids often for meeting those expectations are at the heart of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. This session will discuss best practices around how to teach behavioral expectations and will present ideas on creating effective acknowledgement systems. Lots of examples will be shared including all levels: elementary, middle, and high school.
