Restorative Practices and PBIS: Alignment for Enhancing Student Support

Restorative Practices are emerging as a promising approach to discipline in education. Across the country, both school-based and large-scale exemplars have one thing in common: alignment within a strong PBIS framework. This workshop will share examples of alignment, as well as lessons learned in real-word implementation examples.

  1. Summarize the philosophy alignment
  2. Define driving theories behind RP
  3. Identify 1-2 RP practices
  4. Describe how RP can be integrated into the classroom, and larger school systems
  5. Identify resources for RP in PBIS alignment
