Maintaining Reductions in Problem Behavior
This session will present a model of behavior change that can be used by teams to more effectively design and modify behavior support plans to ensure that reductions in problem behavior maintain over time. Components of behavior plans for students with significant problem behavior will be discussed and extended to include features of explicit maintenance planning. Strategies for preparing a child to transition to settings with less intensive support will be covered in the context of students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, but are applicable to others as well.
