Before & After: How and When to Use Preference Assessments & Reinforcement Inventories
Preference assessments and reinforcement inventories are used in many different settings, including schools and at home, and have been shown to help behavior analysts, school psychologists, and classroom teachers development better behavior support or intervention plans and to help students make significant gains in terms of academic skills and quickly acquire new pro-social behaviors. Furthermore, preference assessments and reinforcement inventories are reflective of the science of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and are something often used in schools taking advantage of School-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS).
